There is a definite market for premium oil! 

A very large part of the population drive upscale vehicles and they don’t mind paying a premium price for premium oil.  For these people, price is no object.  Then there are the customers who merely want their vehicles to last for many, many years and they understand that a premium oil will help them realize this goal.  These customers are interested in quality for their vehicles.  Customers who really put the pencil to the paper can also readily identify that even paying a premium price for Amsoil, still comes out cheaper than buying inferior oil because the savings is realized in changing their oil only once a year and not being plagued by mechanical breakdowns.  

A retail establishment is a typical store where one can purchase most everyday items. Hardware stores and automotive parts stores are examples of retail establishments in which consumers find motor oils and other automotive products.  AMSOIL Dealers can register these stores as retail on-the-shelf accounts.  Retail establishments that qualify for this program receive product at competitive retailers’ prices so they can stock them and sell them at a profit. 

1. The business must be a retail seller, either of products exclusively or of products related to a service.

2. The business must be in a business location, separate from a residence, with regular hours.

3. The business must primarily offer products or services other than AMSOIL.

4. The business must be local or regional with no more than 12 stores. 

In addition, AMSOIL provides a variety of programs designed to increase retail sales and help increase business. For example, AMSOIL offers a Retail-on-the-Shelf Co-op Program that provides monetary assistance to accounts in advertising efforts, including print, radio and television advertising. The Co-op Program also can be used to buy AMSOIL point-of-purchase items (see the AMSOIL Literature and Promotional Items For Retailers Catalog [G-1744] for available items).

AMSOIL also offers a 30-day credit line for qualifying accounts, allowing them to get started quickly and stay well-stocked with AMSOIL products.  And AMSOIL products provide excellent gross profits for retail accounts.  In addition, AMSOIL products are sold to all retail accounts at the same price, so the largest discount retailers buy at the same prices as the small specialty shops.  Pricing competition is limited.

1. Customers can choose to pick up the products themselves from the nearest distribution center.  If they do, all they need is the account number when they pick it up. There is no shipping and handling charge if customers pick it up themselves.

2. Dealers may order products shipped freight collect OR pre-pay the freight using the following schedule:  

  • Under 3 lbs $6.40

  • 3 - 6.9 lbs $7.20

  • 7 - 13.9 lbs $7.85

  • 14 - 23.9 lbs $8.90

  • 24 - 39.9 $0.35 per lb.

  • 40 - 59.9 $0.31 per lb.

  • 60 - 99.9 $0.26 per lb.

  • 100 - 249.9 $0.25 per lb.

  • 250 - 499.9 $0.23 per lb.

  • 500 - 1000 $0.20 per lb.

  • Over 1000 $0.17 per lb. 

This freight schedule applies on shipments to any point in the contiguous United States on products stocked in regional Distribution Centers.

3. For retail on-the-shelf accounts, there are freight discounts available based on the volume of the purchase: 1. $3,500.00 to $7,499.00—AMSOIL pays half the freight cost; 2. $7,500.00 or more—AMSOIL pays all freight.
